Built by an internationally acclaimed architect, Moshe Safdie, The Centre for Performing Arts is known as one of the premiere entertainment venues in the city. The Centre is amongst structures that compliment its history of style and beauty in the entertainment district of Vancouver. The Centre is located in downtown Vancouver next to the Granville Skytrain and within steps of Robson Street, the world-renowned shopping promenade.
The Centre opened in 1995 as the Ford Centre for Performing Arts. As Vancouver’s premier performing arts facility, many Broadway productions were held. As The Centre was being built, it was crafted with the highest quality technology, staging, acoustics, seating fixtures, and furnishings. Because of its latest modernized technology, visitors will feel amazed at the space and architectural design.
